Real-world territory game

Your city is already being taken.

Every neighbourhood is a hexagon someone can own. Walk inside one, hold it for ten seconds, and it is yours — until someone walks in and takes it back.

Nothing in this game is for sale that wins you ground.

No install needed — it runs in your phone's browser. iOS is in review and lands on the App Store shortly.

One email when the iOS version reaches the App Store. Nothing else, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time at support@hexturf.app.

How it works

You have to actually go there

There is no way to take ground from your sofa. That is the whole point, and it is the part most people either love or leave over.

STEP 01

Pick a faction

Crimson, Cobalt, Verdant or Nebula. You capture in one colour, and everyone in the other three is working against you.

STEP 02

Walk into a zone

Every hexagon on the map is roughly a city block of real ground. Your phone has to be physically inside it before anything happens.

STEP 03

Hold for ten seconds

Stay inside and the hex flips to your colour for everyone watching the live map. Then you defend it, or you push into the next one.

In the game

Ground, and what it costs to keep it

Taking a hex is ten seconds. Holding one against three other factions is the rest of the game.

In range

The map is live. Green is yours, purple is theirs, and the hex under you is worth 87 points.

Two hexagonal module loadouts facing each other, each with five connected slots showing numeric strengths.

Signature duel

Five modules, sixteen build points. Your loadout is the difference between holding and losing.

A battle result screen reading Victory, with a line-by-line score breakdown of both sides.

Decided on numbers

Every battle resolves line by line, and you can read exactly why you won or lost.

A season leaderboard showing four factions with their share of zones, and a ranked list of players.

Season standings

Local, regional, national and global boards. Your faction's share of the map is public.

A stats screen showing distance walked, captures per day, unique zones and a territory control score.

What it added up to

Distance walked, zones held, hours defended. The game keeps count of the ground you covered.

Beyond the capture

Built for the long game

Live territory war

Every capture repaints the map for everyone connected. You watch the front line move in real time.

Ghosts on watch

Leave an AI defender on a zone when you walk away. It fights for you for 24 hours.

Raids with your squad

Get two or more teammates into the same enemy zone and you strip its defenders together.

Hotzones

Zones the map is actually fighting over get shorter lock times. Contested ground changes hands faster.

Streaks and mastery

Capture daily to build a streak. Every tenth capture of the same zone counts double.

Quiet by default

No forced ads and no tracking by default. Ads exist, but only if you choose to watch one.

The part we will not move on

You cannot buy a single metre of ground

All perks are cosmetic or convenience only.
No pay-to-win. No gameplay advantage. Ever.

The game is free. The only thing money buys is Premium Stats — charts, history and heatmaps of your own play, at €1 a month. A one-time €9.90 Season 1 supporter badge exists for people who want to help pay for servers. Neither one captures a zone for you.

Season 01 is live

Go outside and take something.

Pick a faction, find the nearest hex that is not yours, and stand in it for ten seconds.
